Overview
The VN820 is a monolithic high-side driver designed by STMicroelectronics using their VIPower® M0-3 technology. This device is intended for driving any type of load with one side connected to ground. It features an active VCC pin voltage clamp that protects the device against low energy spikes. The VN820 also includes active current limitation combined with thermal shutdown and automatic restart, which protects the device against overloads. Additionally, it detects open-load conditions in both on-state and off-state and automatically turns off if the ground pin becomes disconnected.
