Overview
The VN750-E, and its variant VN750SMTR-E, are monolithic high-side driver devices designed by STMicroelectronics using their VIPower™ M0-3 technology. These devices are intended for driving any kind of load with one side connected to ground. The VN750-E features an active VCC pin voltage clamp that protects the device against low energy spikes, complying with ISO7637 transient compatibility standards. Additionally, the device includes active current limitation combined with thermal shutdown and automatic restart to protect against overload conditions.
The device is capable of detecting open-load conditions in both the on-state and off-state, and it can detect if the output is shorted to VCC in the off-state. It also automatically turns off in case of ground pin disconnection, ensuring robust protection and reliability.
