Overview
The FAN5622SX, part of the FAN562x family from ON Semiconductor, is a two-channel current-sink linear LED driver. This device is designed to backlight the main LCD displays or keypads in mobile electronics such as cellular phone handsets, mobile internet devices, and other portable devices. It features a very low dropout voltage of 50 mV, allowing it to drive LEDs without the need for inductors or switch capacitors. The brightness levels of the LED outputs can be programmed through a single-wire digital control interface, enabling 32 linear dimming steps.
