Microchip's Commitment to Sustainability: Operational Excellence and Innovative Customer Solutions
Our sustainability journey follows two key tracks: the robust Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) programs shaping our operations and the cutting-edge solutions we develop for customers to advance their own sustainability initiatives. Our 2023 Sustainability Report outlines our practices across five pillars: Our Company, Our Planet, Our Supply Chain, Our Products and Our People, encapsulating what we call the Microchip 360° Sustainability Approach.

Our Planet
Through strategic ESG initiatives, strong partnerships and ambitious goals, Microchip drives economic growth, conserves natural resources and works towards a sustainable future. We are committed to reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieving Net Zero by 2040.
A significant milestone in our journey is the completion of a state-of-the-art 3.8 MW floating solar farm at our Thailand facility. This innovative project, supported by a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) marks a crucial step in our transition to clean energy. Our efforts have been recognized with the prestigious Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability (ACES) Award for "Top Green Companies in Asia."
