Overview
The LPS22DF is an ultracompact, piezoresistive, absolute pressure sensor that functions as a digital output barometer. Developed by STMicroelectronics, this device is designed to provide lower power consumption and reduced pressure noise compared to its predecessors. The sensor includes a sensing element and an IC interface that communicates via I²C, MIPI I3CSM, or SPI interfaces. The sensing element, manufactured using a dedicated ST process, consists of a suspended membrane that detects absolute pressure. The LPS22DF is packaged in a full-mold, holed LGA (HLGA) package and operates over a temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C.
