Overview
The LM2931ACDR2G is a positive fixed and adjustable output low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator produced by onsemi. This device is designed to maintain proper regulation with an extremely low input-to-output voltage differential, making it ideal for applications requiring high efficiency and reliability. The LM2931 series is capable of supplying output currents in excess of 100 mA and features a low bias current of 0.4 mA at 10 mA output. Originally designed for the harsh automotive environment, it protects against reverse battery connections, two-battery jump starts, and excessive line transients during load dump. It also includes internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and temporary mirror-image protection.
