Overview
The TLV803, produced by Texas Instruments, is a part of the TLV8x3 family of supervisory circuits. These devices are designed to provide circuit initialization and timing supervision, primarily for DSPs and processor-based systems. The TLV803 is functionally equivalent to the TLV853 and TLV863, with the latter two offering alternate pinouts. The TLV803E is a newer, pin-to-pin alternative to all these devices.
During power-on, the RESET output asserts when the supply voltage (VDD) exceeds 1.1 V and remains active as long as VDD is below the threshold voltage (VIT). An internal timer ensures a fixed delay time of 200 ms before the output returns to its inactive state. This supervisory circuit is crucial for ensuring proper system reset and stability.
