Overview
The ISO7221AD is a dual-channel digital isolator produced by Texas Instruments. This device is part of the ISO7220x and ISO7221x family, designed to provide galvanic isolation between logic input and output buffers. The channels in the ISO7221x series are oriented in opposite directions, facilitating flexible PCB layout. The device uses TI’s silicon-dioxide (SiO2) isolation barrier, offering up to 4000VPK of isolation per VDE standards. It is used in conjunction with isolated power supplies to block high voltages, isolate grounds, and prevent noise currents from interfering with sensitive circuitry.
