The VNH5180A-E is a full bridge motor driver designed by STMicroelectronics for a wide range of automotive applications. It incorporates a dual monolithic high-side driver and two low-side switches, utilizing STMicroelectronics’ VIPower® M0 technology. This technology integrates a true Power MOSFET with intelligent signal/protection circuitry on the same die. The device is packaged in a PowerSSO-36 TP package with electrically isolated leadframes, offering improved thermal performance and superior manufacturability due to its fully symmetrical mechanical design.

The device allows direct interface with microcontrollers to select motor direction and brake conditions.
