Overview
The VN920B5-E is a monolithic device designed in STMicroelectronics™ VIPower™ M0-3 technology. It is intended for driving any type of load with one side connected to ground. This single-channel high-side solid-state relay is equipped with an active VCC pin voltage clamp to protect against low energy spikes, as specified in the ISO7637 transient compatibility table. The device also features active current limitation combined with thermal shutdown and automatic restart to protect against overload. Additionally, it integrates an analog current sense output that delivers a current proportional to the load current and automatically turns off if the ground pin becomes disconnected.
