Overview

The LIS33DE is an ultra-compact, low-power, three-axis linear accelerometer produced by STMicroelectronics. It belongs to the "nano" family of ST motion sensors and includes a sensing element and an IC interface. The sensing element is manufactured using a dedicated process to produce inertial sensors and actuators in silicon, while the IC interface is manufactured using a CMOS process. This device provides measured acceleration to the external world through an I2C/SPI serial interface. It is dynamically user-selectable with full scales of ±2g/±8g and can measure accelerations with output data rates of 100 Hz or 400 Hz. The LIS33DE is available in a plastic Thin Land Grid Array (LGA) package and operates over an extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
