The BlueNRG-MS is a very low power Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) single-mode network processor, compliant with the Bluetooth specification v4.2. Developed by STMicroelectronics, this device supports multiple roles simultaneously, acting as both a Bluetooth smart sensor and a hub device. The Bluetooth Low Energy stack runs on an embedded ARM Cortex-M0 core, stored in on-chip non-volatile Flash memory, which can be easily upgraded via SPI. The BlueNRG-MS is pre-programmed with a production-ready stack image, and users can download and update the stack image from the ST website using provided software tools. This device is designed to meet the stringent peak current requirements of standard coin cell batteries, ensuring low average current consumption and extended battery life.
