HeNe Laser Systems
Helium-Neon (HeNe) laser systems are a type of gas laser that utilize a mixture of helium and neon gases to produce coherent light, typically in the red portion of the visible spectrum at a wavelength of 632.8 nm. These systems operate on the principle of stimulated emission, where an electrical discharge excites helium atoms, which in turn transfer energy to neon atoms. This energy transfer results in the emission of laser light as the neon atoms return to their ground state. HeNe lasers are known for their excellent beam quality, stability, and low noise, making them ideal for precision applications.
