Ferrite Beads and Chips
Ferrite beads and chips are passive electronic components used primarily for noise suppression in electronic circuits. These components work by filtering out high-frequency electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) from power lines and signal lines, ensuring the smooth operation of electronic devices. The basic operating principle involves the use of ferrite material, which is a type of ceramic compound composed of iron oxide mixed with metallic elements. When placed around a conductor, ferrite beads and chips act as a low-pass filter, allowing low-frequency signals to pass while attenuating high-frequency noise through resistive and inductive losses.
