Overview
The LM431CIM3/NOPB is a 3-terminal adjustable shunt regulator produced by Texas Instruments. This device is designed to provide temperature stability over its entire operating temperature range. The LM431 allows for the output voltage to be set at any level greater than 2.5 V (VREF) up to 36 V by using two external resistors as a voltage divider network. Its sharp turn-on characteristics make it an excellent replacement for many Zener diode applications.
