Overview
The ISO7021DR, produced by Texas Instruments, is an ultra-low power, two-channel digital isolator designed for applications requiring high isolation and low power consumption. This device features a double capacitive silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier, providing a 3000 VRMS isolation rating as per UL 1577. The innovative edge-based architecture and ON-OFF keying modulation scheme enable the isolator to consume very low power, making it suitable for power and thermally constrained system designs.
The ISO7021DR operates over a wide supply voltage range from 1.71V to 5.5V and can function with different supply voltages on each side of the isolation barrier. It is certified for safety-related standards including DIN EN IEC 60747-17, UL 1577, IEC 62368-1, and IEC 61010-1, as well as ATEX and IECEx certifications.
