Overview
The ISO3082DWR is an isolated half-duplex differential line transceiver designed for TIA/EIA RS-485 and RS-422 applications, manufactured by Texas Instruments. This device is part of the ISO308x family, which includes isolated full- and half-duplex transceivers. The ISO3082DWR is ideal for use in long transmission lines due to its ability to break the ground loop, allowing for a larger common-mode voltage range. It features a symmetrical isolation barrier that provides 2500 V RMS of isolation for 60 seconds per UL 1577 between the bus-line transceiver and the logic-level interface. This isolation significantly increases protection against electrical noise transients and reduces the risk of damage to sensitive control circuits. The device is qualified for use over a temperature range of –40°C to +85°C.
