Overview
The VND5025AK-E, also available as VND5025LAKTR-E, is a monolithic double-channel high-side driver produced by STMicroelectronics. It is designed using the VIPower M0-5 technology and is intended for driving resistive or inductive loads with one side connected to ground. This device is particularly suitable for automotive applications and can also be used for driving LEDs. It features an active VCC pin voltage clamp to protect against low energy spikes and integrates an analog current sense that delivers a current proportional to the load current.
The device includes various protection mechanisms such as undervoltage shut-down, overvoltage clamp, load current limitation, and thermal shutdown with automatic restart. It is packaged in a PowerSSO-24™ package and is compliant with the 2002/95/EC European directive, making it environmentally friendly with ECOPACK® certification.
