Overview
The BlueNRG-234 is an ultra-low power (ULP) Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) system-on-chip (SoC) developed by STMicroelectronics. It is fully compliant with the Bluetooth core specification version 5.2 and supports advanced features such as state-of-the-art security, privacy, and extended packet length for faster data transfer up to 700 kbps at the application level. The BlueNRG-234 embeds STMicroelectronics’s state-of-the-art RF radio IPs, combining unparalleled performance with extremely long battery lifetime. It is designed to run the Bluetooth low energy stack on an embedded ARM Cortex-M0 core, with the BLE stack stored in on-chip non-volatile Flash memory and easily upgradable via SPI/UART using dedicated STMicroelectronics software tools.
