Overview
The AD5231BRU10, produced by Analog Devices Inc., is a nonvolatile memory, digitally controlled potentiometer with 1024-position resolution. This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as a mechanical potentiometer but offers enhanced resolution, solid-state reliability, and remote controllability. It is designed to operate as a true variable resistor replacement for analog signals within the terminal voltage range of VSS < VTERM < VDD.
The AD5231 features versatile programming using a standard 3-wire SPI-compatible serial interface, supporting 16 modes of operation and adjustment, including scratchpad programming, memory storing and restoring, and predefined increment/decrement instructions.
